I just found this neat video on Youtube: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Cb7IjFjDIaI It’s about the homeless in Victoria. I noticed that when I was down there last summer there were lots of young people our age out on the streets. I wonder why they’re just hanging out begging? One group of homeless I saw in Victoria even had a dog. Others were just sleeping through the day! This made me think of last summer when I slept outside and how cold I got in the middle of the night. These guys don’t look like they have much to keep them warm.
i wonder where they get there food. And how do they cook it? Its weird how i never thought about it before. i think the whole thing is sad. everyone should have a home.
Homeless in the Comox Valley
I just heard that many of the homeless hang out at the Soup Kitchen which is hosted at St. Georges United Church in Courtenay. I think they can get a free meal there and keep warm. I wonder what kind of food they serve and how often people can go there?

Thanks for the links! I’m going to look at the one from the Comox Valley Record. I think it would be neat to see if we might be able to find out what homeless people here in the valley do with their time all day when they have nowhere to go?
